The department
When Fire Chief Gina Sweat reflects on her 33-year career with the Memphis Fire Department, one aspect stands out – the people.
“My favorite part about the job has been the people and the relationships,” says Chief Sweat.

“In this line of work, injuries are part of the job. We were experiencing traditional wait times; about 14 to 21 days just to get an appointment with a doctor.”
